DR. MICHAEL NG, OD

Dr. Ng is an optometrist practicing in Toronto with a special focus on comprehensive eye care, dry eye, laser treatments, myopia control, and ocular disease management.

Dr. Ng received both his Honours Biomedical Science and Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. During his studies, he received extensive ocular disease and therapeutic training at South Lake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket. Dr. Ng has had the privilege to intern at LASIK MD, TLC Eye Care & Laser Eye Centre, and Credit Valley Eye Care Clinic (now Prism Eye Institute) in Mississauga to expand his knowledge in refractive and glaucoma surgeries. During his final year, further training in specialty contact lens, vision therapy, and latest technology in optometry was received while working in private practices in Oakville and Mississauga. In 2022, he went back to the University of Waterloo to complete the Advanced Procedures Certificate for Minor Surgeries and Laser Surgery and became the first cohort to achieve this certification. Dr. Ng’s passion is to help people see so they can realize their ability to contribute, cherish, and fulfill their lives. He is dedicated to using the latest techniques to provide excellent eye care that is both open and forward-thinking.

Aside from being a member of good standing with the Ontario College of Optometrists, and board certified by the Canadian Examiners in Optometry in the use of Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA), he is actively involved in the community promoting public eye health care, and collaboration between health care professionals. He enjoys being involved in the latest research in eye care and enjoys travelling on his spare time.
